Did anyone experience Diastasis recti after having babies? Its left my tummy looking really weird and I feel quite self conscious, plus my back strength is not what it was. Has anyone here successfully reversed it?

After I had my first, I downloaded one of these Apps to help you track breastfeeding. Each time I used to feed you enter which side, time how long etc. If anything though it just made the whole process more difficult and stressful and highlighted how little sleep I was getting, made me anxious during the times when he’d feed for hours on end, and imo just added to worry rather than reassurance. I was a lot more confident second time around and just went with the flow and in turn found breastfeeding a much more enjoyable experience.

I have a friend getting married soon and it’s a no kids wedding (which is fine with me!), one of my other friends has a five year old and she seems pretty miffed her child isn’t invited and keeps mentioning how her little girl is disappointed not to be going. I feel like it’s an unfair thing to say to our friend as she gave lots of notice and if she had everyone’s kids at the wedding it would be a lot!

When I had my first the recommendations when I left the hospital was to never co-sleep. I feel a lot has changed in the past decade, and with my last, if I didn’t co-sleep I think I will have probably collapsed with exhaustion. It seems very much the “norm” now though and a lot of my friends with little ones do.

For me, sleep deprivation is hands down the hardest part of becoming a parent. Its hard enough adjusting to becoming a Mom, let alone having to take on the new role when you are more exhausted than you’ve ever felt in your life.
