Ingredients
1smallwatermelon
100gramscoconut flakes
drizzlehoney
Equipment
wooden skewers
melon baller
Instructions
Cut your watermelon in half.
Take a melon baller and carefully scoop out 15 watermelon balls. We have allowed 5 balls per watermelon kebab. If you want to make more then just adjust accordingly.
Take 5 watermelon balls and thread them onto one of your wooden skewers. Place them in a tray or storage container, so they’re ready to go in the freezer. Repeat for your remaining skewers.
Add a little drizzle of honey over the watermelon kebabs.
Sprinkle them with coconut flakes until the watermelon balls are coated.
Freeze them for several hours or overnight.
When you’re ready for your snack take them out a few minutes beforehand so that they thaw a little and enjoy!
Notes
We recommend giving these to children over 3 years of age only. For younger children the balls can be halved or quartered to make them safer and easier to eat.The watermelon balls can be quite hard when they come out of the freezer so give them a few minutes to de-thaw before serving.
