Step 1: Start your tree

Mix some brown paint with water. You need it to be nice and runny but to still be a bold colour.

Fill an egg cup a quarter full of water and squeeze in some paint and mix until you get a nice brown watery paint.

Now lightly brush shapes to make the trunk of your tree and a few rough branches.

Drop some paint on top of the lines you make so that the tree trunk and branches are very watery.

Step 2: Have fun blowing the branches

Now take a paper drinking straw and hold the end very close to your brown paint.

Blow through the straw and watch the paint spread out and make patterns.

You can blow from different directions to make the paint travel in a different way. Keep blowing until you have made a tree with lots of branches.

If your tree needs some more branches, just add a few more blobs of watery paint and keep blowing until you are happy with how it looks.
