Pumpkin, leek and chicken baby puree – our step by step guide:
Prepare your vegetables
Peel your pumpkin and chop it into cubes.
Slice the leek into rounds.
Use only the white part of the leek, the green part is too fibrous for baby.
Boil the chicken
Boil your chicken on its own, over in a medium sized saucepan until cooked.
It should take 5-10 minutes.
After cooking it’s a good idea to check there are no pink parts inside the chicken chunks.
Boil the vegetables
In another saucepan, boil your pumpkin and leek for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, add the spinach to your pumpkin and leek mixture.
Simmer for another 5 minutes.
Blend into a puree
Drain the chicken and the veg and put them into a bowl.
Add water or baby’s usual milk to thin it a bit to your desired consistency.
Blend everything until you have a smooth puree.
