What is sweet pumpkin hummus?
Sweet pumpkin hummus is the same as regular hummus except that little bit sweeter.
We wanted to avoid refined sugars so we’ve added a tablespoon of maple syrup instead. This takes away from the bitterness of the tahini and gives it a slight sweet tone to this creamy dip.
How do you make pumpkin hummus?
Pumpkin hummus is simple and quick to make. All the ingredients go in the blender and you buzz them until it’s smooth.
These include pumpkin – we’ve chosen to use canned pumpkin puree here – lemon juice, tahini, garlic, olive oil and of course chick peas. Our recipe includes a little maple syrup as well to add a subtle sweetness to it and to take away from the bitterness of the lemon and tahini.

- 250 grams pumpkin puree
- 400 grams cooked canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 5 tablespoons tahini

- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
Instructions:

- Add the minced garlic together with the other ingredients in a food processor.
- Blend until you get a smooth thick mixture.
