You will need:
- Jar or pot
- Paw Patrol birthday cards
- Paper straws
- Red and blue glitter card or large glittery star stickers
- Ribbon
- Scissors
- Sellotape
- Card
Step 1: Cut out your pictures
Buy or reuse an old birthday card and cut out images of your child’s favourite character.
Stick each picture onto a drinking straw using sellotape.
Step 2: Make some more decorative straws
Make some more straws for your table centres.
You can stick large glittery star stickers on top of them.
If you don’t have stickers, you can cut out star shapes from glittery red and blue card. Stick those on.
Sellotape lengths of curled gold ribbon onto other straws.
Step 3: Decorate your jar or plant pot
Decorate your pot however you like with cut outs, stickers or glitter.
You can use any jar or pot you like for your centrepiece. We used a plain wooden pot here.
You could stick on more star cut outs from your red and blue glittery card, or stick on large glittery star stickers.
You could also cover a plain glass jar with glue and then add bright red and blue glitter as we’ve done with these centrepieces here.
Step 4: Create your centrepiece
To make your centrepiece just arrange all your decorated straws in your pot.
We used some foam to make it easier for them to stay in place.
You could also use plasticine on the bottom of each straw to help them stand upright.
You could make just one centrepiece or make a few to dot around the table. They take minutes to make and look fab.
