Why are these oatmeal chocolate chip bars healthy?
- Oat flour is naturally gluten free. We advise purchasing oat flour and rolled oats which are labelled ‘gluten free’ so that there is no risk of contamination from other products being made in the same factory. However the oats themselves are naturally gluten free.
- Rolled oats are full of fibre and are rich in antioxidants.
- We’ve replaced sugar with maple syrup. With the exception of the chocolate chips themselves, there are no white refined sugars in the recipe.
- Chocolate is rich in antioxidants!
