How to make fringe flowers:
Step 1: Cut a strip of felt
Cut a rectangle of felt and fold it over to make a long strip.
Step 2: Make lots of snips
Starting at one end of your felt strip make snips all the way down, stopping just before the fold.
Keep cutting until your whole strip of felt looks like a long fringe.
Step 3: Roll up, roll up
Roll up your felt strip.
Take care to keep the straight edge in line so that the bottom of the ‘flower’ is flat.
Step 4: Glue down the ends
Place a blob of glue on end of the strip and hold it in place until it is secure.
A glue gun works well, but take care if you’re doing this craft with little children as the glue can get very hot and burn fingers.
Fabric or tacky glue works well too.
Step 5: Glue on your stalk
Place a line of glue onto the back of your flower and stick down your pipe cleaner stalk.
If you want to make a brooch you can glue a safety pin to the back of your flower instead.
Step 6: Your flower is ready
Gently fluff out and arrange the little felt strips and trim any ends that are too long.
Then your flower is ready.

How to make loopy fringe flowers:
Step 1: Fold a strip of felt
You can make loopy flowers, using almost exactly the same technique as above.
This time, once you have folded a length of felt start making your snips from the folded edge.
Again keep snipping until your whole strip of felt looks like a long fringe.
Step 2: Keep on rolling
Once again roll up your felt strip, keeping the straight edge in line.
Use glue to secure the ends in place and finish your flower.
Step 3: Glue on the stalk
Once your flower is complete, glue a pipe cleaner stalk onto the back, as before.
Although these two felt flowers are made in very similar ways they end up looking very different. So if you’re going for a bunch of felt flowers, this is an easy way to get some variety.
How to make felt roses:
Step 1: Cut a circle of felt
To make these roses start by cutting out a circle of felt.
Step 2: Cut a spiral

Step 4: Glue on your stalk
Once your rose is complete, glue on the pipe cleaner stalk.
