Glitter gravy and turkey stock – our step by step guide:
Place your turkey giblets (or chicken thighs), onion, carrot, celery, parsley, thyme and bay leaf in a medium sized pan.
Cover with about 1 ½ pints of boiling water.
Simmer with the lid half on for about an hour and a half.
If you already have chicken stock ready, you can just bring this to a boil and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Pour your mixture through a colander or strainer, reserving the liquid.
If necessary spoon off any excess fat.
Return your stock to the saucepan on a low heat. Add 2 tablespoons of flour and stir continuously to thicken the gravy.
Add a teaspoon or so of glitter to your gravy.
The glitter can even be brightly coloured glitter! We’ve added a bit of silver and purple.
