How do you make French toast for baby?

French toast for baby recipe takes only a few minutes to put together and is as simple as regular French toast.

First you create your mix by mashing a ripe banana with a fork. Mix it in with the coconut milk.

Then you cut your bread into strips. Dip them into your mix and sear in a hot pan with some coconut oil.

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 2 slices bread (we used wholemeal bread)
  • 100 ml coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Cut each slice of bread into 3 long strips.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mash the banana and coconut milk together with a fork until you get a thick mixture. Set it next to the plate of bread strips.
  3. Heat a tablespoon coconut oil in a frying pan and wait until it’s warm before starting to cook.
  4. Quickly submerge the bread strips into the banana coconut milk mixture, and lift them straight out. Lay them on the pan with heated coconut oil.
  5. Cook on a medium-high heat and flip the French toast strips every 20-30 seconds until they’re golden brown on all sides. Serve the fingers on their own or with fresh fruits.

Cut each slice of bread into 3 long strips

Take each slice of bread and cut it into 3 thick strips. If you’d like you can remove the crusts too.

We used wholemeal bread but you can use whichever bread you prefer for baby.

Mash the Banana and Coconut Milk Together

In a shallow bowl, mash the banana really well with a fork and mix with the coconut milk.

Then heat your coconut oil in a frying pan until warm before beginning.

Take each bread strip and submerge it in the banana coconut milk mixture just for a moment. Lift it out quickly and place it in the heated oil in the frying pan.

Flip Every 30 Seconds Until Golden

Flip each bread strip every 20-30 seconds until golden on all sides.
