Sugar free jam recipe - Raspberry chia jam

Using only 5 simple ingredients, you can make your very own homemade jam. Ours is free from refined sugars and preservatives (win, win!). You will be amazed at the strong, fresh flavours of the raspberry that come through. All jam should taste as good as this sugar free jam recipe.

Ingredients

  • 375 grams raspberries (3 cups)
  • 9 tbspn maple syrup (about 120mls - you can add more to taste
  • 3 tbspn chia seeds
  • 1 tspn vanilla extract
  • 2 tspn gelatin (optional)

Instructions

  • In a large saucepan add the raspberries and maple syrup. Bring to the boil and stir as the berries begin to break down.
  • Stir in the chia seeds. Simmer over low heat for 15 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  • Remove from the heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the vanilla and gelatin.
  • Chill the jam in the fridge for a few hours to thicken. It's now ready to serve on a slice of warm toast.
