Parsnip and Spinach Puree

Combine two nutritious ingredients with this parsnip and spinach puree to make a baby meal that’s creamy and nutritious. Great for first meals and weaning recipes.

  • 1 medium parsnip (about 100 grams) peeled and chopped
  • 1 handful fresh spinach leaves (about 20 grams) washed
  • Milk or water


  • Peel and chop your parsnip and wash the spinach leaves.
  • Place in a steamer together for 20 minutes until all the pieces are soft and cooked through.
  • Add them to a blender together with some milk (either regular cow’s milk or baby’s usual milk) or with some water, whichever you prefer.
  • Blend until smooth. Add a little more water or milk if needed to achieve desired consistency.
