Toppings
- 4 brioche buns lightly toasted

Homemade teriyaki sauce
Bring 1 cup water to the boil in a small saucepan.
Pour in your soy sauce, honey minced garlic and ginger. Simmer for a few minutes.
To thicken sauce mix 1 tbsp corn flour mixed with ¼ cup water in a bowl or measuring cup and stir until mixed well. Pour it into the saucepan of teriyaki sauce and keep stirring it until it’s mixed in.
Burger patties
Add the beef mince, crushed garlic, diced ginger, soy sauce, red onion, salt and pepper to a bowl and mix until combined.
Form the mixture into patties about 8 cm wide.
Heat some oil in a frying pan or on a barbeque grill. Cook the burgers on a medium heat for a few minutes on each side.
Spoon over a little teriyaki sauce when they’re nearly ready.
Towards the end place a slice of cheese on top until melted.
Burger toppings
Make your teriyaki mayo by mixing the mayonnaise with teriyaki sauce. Set aside.
In a frying pan or on the grill, brown both sides of the brioche bun.
Lay them out on a plate. Add your cooked burger to the base of the brioche bun.
Spoon some teriyaki mayonnaise over the top and add your favourite burger toppings. Enjoy!
