Ingredients

  • 150 grams rolled oats
  • 25 grams sunflower seeds
  • 70 mls coconut oil melted
  • 4 dates
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 75 grams raisins

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Line a medium rectangular baking dish with baking paper.
  • Soak 4 dates in a bowl of boiling water for 5-10 minutes. Then remove the dates and take out the stones.
  • In a blender add the soaked dates, the coconut oil and maple syrup. Blend them together.
  • Mix the oats, sunflower seeds and raisins in a bowl. (If you’re making this for very young children you might want to blend the sunflower seeds slightly so they are less sharp before adding them in).
  • Add the blended dates, oil and maple syrup to the bowl of oats, sunflower seeds and raisins, and mix everything until well combined.
  • Lay the mixture out on your baking dish and push it down with your fingers until it is tightly packed at a thickness of about 1.5 cm.
  • Cook for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  • Remove and let cool. Then cut into bars. Enjoy!
