Hampstead Village Christmas fair is coming up!

On 1st December from noon - 5pm. They should have Santa's grottos there too!

Hi, does anyone know about any Santa's grottos in the area? Ideally that don't need pre-booking?

I know there's one in London Zoo if you're a member, or there's the Hampstead Christmas Fair coming up on the 1st. I think they have a Santa there too. Hope this helps!

If you enjoy the Marylebone Christmas lights go up it's all happening tomorrow from 3-7pm along with shopping stalls, rides and even Santa's grotto. The lights should switch on at 6pm - let us know if you go along!

Prince Charles and Camilla visit Swiss Cottage market yesterday 😮

Those who were happily shopping for tomatoes and turned round to see him there were more than shocked

Jonathan Ross threw another epic Halloween party this year! Did anyone go trick or treating around there?

HALLOWEEN EVENT: Paint the Scream at The Engineer in Primrose Hill on Halloween.

From 7.30-10pm on 31st October, The Engineer on Gloucester Avenue is hosting a painting event for everyone including first time painters, with wine and cheese platters.

If you're looking for some Halloween fun after the trick or treating is over, it could be one to try!

Has anyone been made aware of the rise in robberies around Hampstead Heath?

Apparently dog walkers have become very wary, following a rise in muggings around Hampstead, and in particular the Parliament Hill area. The problem has grown to the point that he police are starting to launch covert ops to prevent it from escalating further.

There were 6 muggings in August and 15 in September, according to one article. The muggers are allegedly gangs of teenagers on hire bikes who block the path and threaten victims, saying that they carry knives to stab them.

Although a few arrests have been made, the police are starting to use more covert tactics to try to find those responsible. If you've heard of this rising problem or know anyone affected by it, let us know.

This is a full article on it if you wanted to find out more:

I read something about it but hadn't realised it was so bad. Will steer clear of that bit of the Heath I think until things calm down, thanks!

I hadn't heard of that...there always seems to be something going on in the area.

A friend was telling me about the rising number of break-ins in houses in Highgate too...I hope they manage to crack down on these groups.
