I’m trying to find calming exercises to get through this all. Every time I watch the news I end up so stressed. I was wondering if anyone has used Calm or other apps or podcasts to help destress that you could recommend?

I use Calm app - mostly to listen to sleep stories to help me drift off. I use Headspace for meditation and little exercises to help me feel calm during the day. I've stopped scrolling through the news/social media as it makes me anxious right now. It all feels so scary and negative and I feel panicky. I also have signed up to an online course with a brilliant therapist where I can follow live streams on Facebook and audios/worksheets. http://www.enjoyconfidence.com

We're all in a new situation and life will change... Let's help each other through

Is anyone else up for sharing what we're doing to keep the kids entertained and save our sanity as we face more and more time together at home? We could share ideas for crafts, play, fun...And share how we spent our days. And swap tips that made a difference and little acts of kindness we did or saw.

My road has a WhatsApp chat group that we are all in. We have one house in isolation and they sent a text saying their toddler was in meltdown due to not having a banana😅.They found a lot of bananas on their doorstep!

Hi Susie this is a great idea.

We're lucky to have a park near us so we're trying to at least get them outdoors once a day but keeping a distance from anyone around us. It's a strange thing to be stressed about being within 2 meters of people...

A WhatsApp group for your road sounds so nice. I wish we had the same. I hope the aid groups can still get groceries to the elderly with lockdown in effect.

We're all staying in and avoiding people (expect for necessary shopping). One thing we're doing is writing lists of all the things we never have time to do so we can feel happier about filling our time and see it as a 'gift'. We're also brainstorming ideas to keep us sane and happy - we're thinking lots of family boards games, we're going to go through all out photos and sort them out, we're going on little walks and we can't wait for warmer weather to get out in the garden. What are you all doing to keep as happy as you can right now?

We just had such a lovely evening playing board games. We were in fits of giggles and had so much fun. It felt like that time in between Christmas and New Year! I know it's early days but it was nice to have fun together.

Does anyone suffer from anxiety? Are there any easy ways to calm yourself down when you start to get anxious?

Have you tried box breathing - it's a very simple way of immediately calming yourself down and does work
